Slamming non-Congress parties like BSP, SP and BJP for neglecting development in the state of Uttar Pradesh over the last 22 years, Congress (I) General Secretary Rahul Gandhi has said he would not leave the state until the development of UP is ensured. “I will not budge from here. Let me tell you that when I choose to take up something, I do not leave it halfway," had said Rahul Gandhi while addressing a public meeting in Jaunpur recently as part of campaign for Congress in the state. Stressing that welfare of the poor, career of the youth, care for the farmer and overall development of the state are more important than the elections, Rahul Gandhi had said, “I will continue to fight for you because you have been duped for 22 years.” Blaming these non-Congress parties being out of sync with needs of the people, the Congress leader wondered that while leaders of these parties do not meet the poor nor visit their villages how they can appreciate their problems. Arguing that these non-Congress parties have been indulging in corruption and pilferage of public funds sent by the Congress-led centre, Rahul Gandhi requested the people to support Congress (I). The Congress General Secretary assured that Congress (I) will fulfill the aspirations of the people by bring more and more welfare and development schemes.
