What you do not realize is that while you are doing jobs, you are building the bridge that is going to connect these two Indias. Some of you would be more interested in your jobs and may not be much interested about what is happening in the country. But while you are doing your job, while developing software or any other IT products, while working on computers, without knowing it, you are building that bridge. There may be people who are taking special interest in the national affairs. And they may be doing works in that regard apart from their job. Anyhow, you have already started the process of connecting our nation and I want to thank you for that,” commented Rahul Gandhi.
Rahul Gandhi at IIIT Amethi: Question yourself to gather more knowledge
Congress General Secretary and MP from Amethi Rahul Gandhi spoke at the occasion of the convocation ceremony at IIIT Amethi and said that one should question yourself to gather more knowledge.
“I had mentioned that there was a time I was sitting where you are sitting now. When I was sitting there I thought that I have the answers for all the questions. But later I knew that that is not the fact. I am very passionate about my ideas. Even today I am very passionate. Now I realise that the most important thing one should do is to question one’s ideas. I found it in my life that when I am most certain about something, when I am hundred percent sure that this is the way to do it, very soon I find that I was wrong and there is actually another way to do it and a better way”.

“There were a lot of things in my mind which I thought were correct were destroyed now and I no more believe in those. Those were replaced by new ideas and I am absolutely certain that some of the ideas which I had today may get destroyed tomorrow. And that is a good thing because none of us are god. We do not have eternal knowledge or eternal understanding. Life is moving forward and constantly questioning your ideas and thoughts.” added the Congress leader.

Rahul Gandhi at IIIT Amethi: Knowledge resides closest to the problem
Congress General Secretary and MP from Amethi Rahul Gandhi spoke at the occasion of the convocation ceremony at IIT Amethi and said that the knowledge resides closest to where the problem is.
“So my humble request to you students is that when you are absolutely sure about something, you please question yourself because you may be probably wrong. The other thing I want to tell you about the nature of knowledge. In India this is the big problem” said Rahul Gandhi.
“I could fortunately travel many places across the country and meet a lot of people. So I see multiple perspectives. I could very early found, before talking to poor persons, farmers, other sections, engineers, doctors, that every one’s point of view is important” added the Congress leader.
“You may be good at IT but if you go to a farmer he can tell you much about farming. Knowledge resides closest to where the problem is. So if you are a farmer, you will be having the better knowledge about the farmers. Same is the case with IT. Generally what could see is that the more you are closer towards the problem, you will have better knowledge about that problem” said Rahul Gandhi.

Rahul Gandhi at IIIT Amethi speaks about the importance of connecting India
Congress General Secretary and MP from Amethi Rahul Gandhi while talking at the occasion of the convocation ceremony at IIT Amethi told that our mission should be to connect the unconnected India to the rest of the country.
“What has been happening in the past 20-30 years is that our country has been moving very fast and for the first time we don’t have any shortage of money. The connected India has been moving ahead; even when the world was facing economic crisis, this connected India was surging ahead. So we are generating enough money to create and to start seriously impacting the unconnected India and to start actively connecting it. And this is the mission that most of you are going to do” said Rahul Gandhi.
“When I talked about connected India, some of the speakers referred IT and how important IT is to connect India. But it is not just IT. Connecting India has multiple ways. It is IT, roads, electricity, health care and we should make sure that every unconnected person is connected to the Indian economy and the world economy” added the Congress MP.
“That is the job youngsters should do and in 20-30 years from today bulk of India will look like the large cities. So what is your role as IT practitioners? I asked many of your friends and most of them told that they would like to do jobs. What you do not realize is that while you are doing jobs, you are building the bridge that is going to connect these two Indias. Rahul Gandhi at IIIT Amethi: To gather knowledge, go towards the problem
Congress General Secretary and MP from Amethi Rahul Gandhi spoke at the occasion of the convocation ceremony at IIT Amethi and said that to gather more knowledge one should move more close towards the problem.
Rahul Gandhi said “So the first thing I told you was to question yourself. And the second thing is that to gather knowledge, go towards the problem. That is what I did experience. When I go to a poor person’s house and asks about the things he does, I get the knowledge. So I realize that he knows better than me about his nature of job. So it is very important to respect the person’s views who is much closer to the problem”.
“In order to respect the person’s views who is much closer to the problem, you will have to give equal status to that person. There is a feeling among the politicians in India that they are the most knowledgeable persons. Understanding the knowledge is built on the destruction of the knowledge. In our ancient scripts there is a trinity- creator, preserver and destroyer. There is a reason behind it. You cannot have creation without destruction. You cannot have destruction without creation. And you cannot have either of these two without preservation” added the young Congress MP.
“And that is the same with knowledge. To get the current knowledge you will have to destroy the existing knowledge. To destroy the existing knowledge you will have to question yourself. You will have to learn to question yourself and question the persons around you. The more you do that the more knowledgeable you will become” concluded Rahul Gandhi.

Rahul Gandhi claims, Congress alone fulfills the promises
Slamming the non-Congress leaders like Mayawati and Mulayam Singh Yadav for cheating the people with false promises over the last two decades, Congress General Secretary Rahul Gandhi had said that Congress (I) makes sure to deliver what it promises to the people. It being a party of the people Congress (I) seek to serve them by empowering them with education, knowledge, technology, employment and all round development, said Rahul Gandhi while campaigning for the recent Assembly elections in UP. Referring to rampant corruption and non-development in Uttar Pradesh, Rahul Gandhi said, non-congress governments have been working on day-to-day basis, this is, how to loot public money rather than thinking on the long term basis for the welfare and development. While unemployment is adversely affecting the career opportunities for the youth, virtual non-existence of health care services have compounded the miseries of the poor. For alleviating these adverse situations Congress (I) brought MNREGA with release of Rs 60,000 crores for providing employment to the poor. NRHM scheme with release of Rs 10,000 crores was launched for improving health care services, said the Congress leader. But the money was looted by Mayawati government and nothing reached the poor, added Rahul Gandhi. Urging the people to oust the corrupt Mayawati government, Rahul Gandhi promised that this time if Congress (I) is voted to power it would put in place a delivery system to ensure that the benefits of welfare as well as development schemes positively reach them.

Mayawati is not interested in the welfare of the poor, aam aadmi: Rahul Gandhi
Slamming Mayawati for ignoring the welfare of poor and the development of the state, Congress (I) General Secretary Rahul Gandhi had said that she has all along been running the government for self and in her party’s interest at the cost of the dalits and the poor. Uttar Pradesh remains the most backward state, had said Rahul Gandhi while campaigning for the recently held UP Assembly elections. “She is running the most corrupt government which is benefiting the rich, corporate houses and thekedars at the cost of the aam admi,” further said Rahul Gandhi adding that dalits and poor have suffered most under her government. Rahul Gandhi said that money sent by the Congress led central government for welfare of the poor was stolen by her government leaving the poor huffing. People are fed up with this atrocious situation all over the state. Ministers and legislators are themselves involved in corruption and crime cases and misusing their official position to make money. Lokayukta has indicted around two dozen of Mayawati’s cabinet ministers and legislators for corruption. She has dropped as many as 26 ministers on corruption charges and some of her legislators are in jail for serious crimes like murder. Asserting that that Congress (I) would put an end to all this, Rahul Gandhi promised that his party – congress- would ensure welfare of the people, good governance and fast track development in the state.

HUBLI: All India Congress Committee (AICC) General Secretary Rahul Gandhi had started and ended his talk, asking the people to root out the corrupt BJP in Karnataka.

The Congress should change the image of the state by rooting out this corrupt government," Rahul Gandhi said to applause from the audience.
He was more critical of the government for its alleged failure to implement and utilize central schemes. "Leaders have forgotten to implement central schemes," Rahul Gandhi added.

Rahul Gandhi: Development is more important, Congress realizes it
Slamming the past non-Congress governments of both Mayawati as well as Mulayam Singh Yadav for ignoring the problems of the people, Congress General Secretary Rahul Gandhi had said, “We understand the issues of the people of UP.” “Twenty-two years have gone by. But what did you get from these parties,” Rahul Gandhi asked the people while campaigning recently for the last UP Assembly elections. “BJP only talked about mandir and left after bidding its time. Then Mulayam Singh came and promoted only the interests of his group ignoring the people. Annoyed people put Mayawati in power. But she turned out be worst and unleashed reign of corruption and extortions” said Rahul Gandhi. Highlighting that the issues of the people and development are more important than the politics of these non-Congress parties, Rahul Gandhi requested the people to say good bye to these parties and give a chance to Congress to form government in the state. “We will deliver what the other parties miserably failed to do in the last 22 years,” Rahul Gandhi had said recently while addressing various public meetings for the UP Assembly elections. Attacking Mayawati for doing nothing to improve the conditions of the people, Rahul Gandhi had said indifference of BSP government towards people reached to such a level that while throughout the day the poor worked for earning their bread and during the night they feared that 'elephants' would come and snatch their day's earnings.
