Rahul Gandhi: Aam admi fed up with Maya, Mulayam, wants Congress

Congress General Secretary Rahul Gandhi who led the Congress campaign in Uttar Pradesh held non-Congress governments in UP for the past two decades responsible for all the problems of the people of UP. The people were forced to tolerate the corrupt regimes, said Rahul Gandhi and added that aam admi cutting across caste and community line has now started looking towards Congress (I) for providing a pro-development, pro-poor progressive government in the state. Where ever I go this is the feeling of the aam aadmi, claimed Rahul Gandhi. “In Shahjahanpur and Badayun despite being Samajwadi Party’s strong hold, the aam admi is fed up with both Mayawati and Mulayam Singh Yadav”, asserted the Congress leader. “This region has a large number of Muslim population” Rahul Gandhi said. He also said that ordinary Muslims in the villages and towns have expressed dislike for the ruling Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) and disappointment with the Samajwadi Party. “For Mayawati Muslims are only a tool” said Rahul Gandhi.  They are unhappy with Mulayam for having joining hands with Kalyan Singh’s party last time, argued Rahul Gandhi.  The people are now looking for a Congress Government in UP said Rahul Gandhi.
