Hitting hard against parties like BJP, BSP and SP for ruling the state for over last two decades without caring for its people, Congress (I) has said UP is backward due to misrule of non-congress governments of these parties. These parties have been playing politics with the people rather than for the people, said Rahul Gandhi. Congress (I)-led UPA government at the centre has been sending schemes for development of UP. For instance MNREGA Scheme was sent for providing employment to the rural poor. But Mayawati government said it would not help the people. While this scheme is tremendous success in Congress (I) ruled, in UP it is failure due to corruption in Mayawati government, said Rahul Gandhi. Only way to put a stop to this misrule is to bring back Congress (I) in upcoming Assembly elections in February-March 2012 which will ensure fast track development in the state, said Rahul Gandhi.
