Rahul Gandhi: BSP, SP failed miserably to develop UP

Expressing his concern for the bad state of affairs in the most populous state of the country Uttar Pradesh, Congress (I) General Secretary Rahul Gandhi said that UP is slowing India down and also that the people should put an end to this. UP can be transformed and it can regain its leading position which it held under Congress (I) rule, said the Congress leader. The stagnation of Uttar Pradesh is pulling the country back and leaders like Mayawati and Mulayam Singh Yadav have failed repeatedly. Mayawati was the CM for four times and Mulayam three times, but they did nothing for development in UP said Rahul Gandhi. Praising the people, Rahul Gandhi said the people and the youth of UP are hardworking, talented and they have the wisdom to bring in changes in UP and added that all that UP needs is a Government who bothers about the people. Referring to BJP’s opposition to the Lokpal in the Parliament and Advani’s yatra against corruption, Rahul Gandhi said that some senior BJP leaders have obsession for becoming prime minister. He reiterated that Congress is determined to push the state on the path of development and urged the people to give a chance to Congress (I) to form government and promised that it would transform Uttar Pradesh.
