I am not here just for elections, but to transform U.P, said Congress General Secretary RahulGandhi while addressing public rallies at various places in Uttar Pradesh. He alleged that that the non-Congress parties who ruled the state for the past 22 years blocked development in Uttar Pradesh.
“I have not come for just elections, but to change Uttar Pradesh” Rahul Gandhi declared. “the people from UP are forced to go to Delhi, Haryana, Maharashtra and Punjab and put in their efforts there and develop those places. The shining Metro was built by the UP people. When the entire Delhi sleeps, the labourers from UP work overnight in Delhi,” said the Congress General Secretary.
He assured again that a Congress Government would bring back progress in Uttar Pradesh like it has been doing in all the Congress-ruled states. “We changed Andhra Pradesh, Delhi, Maharashtra, Haryana, Assam and Kerala. We can change UP too. If Congress is given a chance, you will see the positive changes in UP within five years. The money meant for you will reach you. You need a Government that comes to you and hold your hands. So stand up and support the Congress candidates and elect a Congress Government,” Rahul Gandhi said amidst acknowledgements from the crowd.
