Congress (I) is the only hope for ordinary voters: Rahul Gandhi

Having been repeatedly cheated by parties like BSP, SP and BJP at election time with rosy promises which later turned out be false each time over the last 22 years, Congress (I) General Secretary Rahul Gandhi has said that now only Congress (I) is the best bet for the people of Uttar Pradesh. These parties have repeatedly failed on their promises to provide good governance and development, said Rahul Gandhi while on election campaign for the ongoing Assembly elections. Instead they have encouraged corruption, bred unemployment and the state has gone downhill in the name of development, he further said. These parties failed to meet even the basic needs of the people like water and uninterrupted electric supply. “I have been visiting the poor in their villages and houses to understand their problems,” he said.  In response to the needs of the poor Congress (I) has crafted progressive policies like MGNREGA, extraordinary generous loan waiver for farmers, weavers package for Bunkars, increased subsidy for the farmers, he added. Highlighting that BSP leaders had fun time while poor suffered, Rahul Gandhi urged the people to vote for change to reverse this situation. Requesting them to vote for Congress (I) this time, he assured that a government of the poor by Congress (I) will be responsive to the needs of the people and ensure that the benefits of the welfare schemes reach the poor.
