With thundering-cum-emotive speech to the huge gathering at the Phulpur poll rally in Uttar Pradesh, the Congress general secretary Rahul Gandhi spoke for the poor of the state and what a leader should do.
“If a leader does not go to the poor, the backward, the common people, he cannot understand their problem. When leader wouldn’t eat with the poor, wouldn’t eat chapatti at his house, wouldn’t see his helplessness, till then he can’t understand the problem of the poor,” said Rahul.
The Youth Congress icon added, “Until a leader does not drink the dirty water from a poor’s house, until his stomach pains, until he falls ill, he cannot understand anything about poverty. And till the time a leader understands the condition of the poor, he does not go to the poor’s house; he cannot get angry (like he gets often).”
The young Congress MP from Amethi has put forward many a questions to be answered both by the political class especially the ones who really want to do good for the nation. There are others who need to correct their conduct.
