Rajiv Gandhi, a leader with positive vision
Rahul Gandhi said in J&K that if we want to stop graft, democracy should reach the grass root level. We can also recall the statement made by him in the Parliament during the debate of Lokpal Bill. Rahul Gandhi had opined correctly that only by just bringing a strong Lokpal Bill we cannot stop corruption. For that we need a long term vision, a long term plan and a long term mechanism. There were sarcastic remarks from some angles, especially from those who eye for narrow political gains from the whole Anna episode. But if we think in the interest of our country impartially, we can surely feel that there is some substance in the remark made by Rahul Gandhi. In this era of ‘fast food’ most of the people, especially the middle class, ‘fast cook’ ideas, ‘jump fast’ into conclusions, but unfortunately without any long term vision.
His remarks were with a long term view which would be more beneficial for the entire country.
